The F-F configuration is used when both sides of a connection expose a male DB9 plug — meaning you need a cable with female sockets on both ends to bridge them. The DT-9005C uses straight-through line sequence: Pin 1 on the female connector at one end connects directly to Pin 1 at the other, and so on for all 9 pins. This is the correct wiring when both serial devices are configured to communicate using standard straight-through RS-232 pin assignments. It supports three device wiring scenarios: straight-through, 23 crossover and full crossover — depending on the equipment at each end of the connection. Always confirm your device’s wiring requirements in the product manual before purchasing. If your setup requires crossover or null-modem wiring, a dedicated null-modem cable or adapter is required instead.
